The Registered Midwife may be required to work within the variety of clinical services provided by the maternity services unit at WWHSC. The Registered Midwife will work a rotating roster with a varied shift length from 4 – 10 hours to fulfill hired full time equivalent (fte) hours and also be available to work overtime and ‘on call’ as required. About the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH) is a 256-bed level four-five hospital and provides acute and community health care services to the surrounding community. The Hospital provides Emergency, Coronary Care, Intensive Care, High Dependency, Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Obstetrics, Renal, Rehabilitation, Dementia Assessment and Acute Mental Health services. Wagga Wagga is a city in New South Wales, Australia and it is the state's largest and the country's fifth largest inland city with nearly 60'000 inhabitants. It is situated half way between Sidney and Melbourne (only a 1 hour plane flight or a 4 1/2 hour drive) and a 2 1/2 hour drive from Canberra, Australia's Capital.
